Stress and Anxiety
Many
people suffer from anxiety, stress, anger, call it what you will. In fact latest research shows that over 9 million people can expect to suffer some form of anxiety during their lifetime. It
can be life restricting and long term but there is no longer a need for
anyone to suffer.
Hypnotherapy

We will help you to prevent negative stress, to identify when your stress levels increase and to deal with situations in order to
prevent them becoming overwhelming.

Some common behaviours that COULD be indications that you could use some help :
A feeling of anxiety every day
without knowing what it relates to. This is called “free floating anxiety”.
Panic Attacks - you may feel panicky for no reason or suffer full blown panic attacks.
Sleep Disorders - maybe you can't get off to sleep. Maybe you can sleep really deeply but awaken next day feeling exhausted. Maybe you go to sleep easily but within an hour you are ready to run a marathon again.
Impatience, irritability, and
frustration - everything seems to "wind you up".
Increased consumption of alcohol
and/or cigarettes.
Addictions - not just drugs, alcohol or cigarettes, but chocolate, exercise, pornography etc.
Obsessive Behaviour - you find yourself checking things more than once and feeling anxious if you don't do so.
Physical Disorders - Eczema, Psoriasis, Warts, Irritable Bowel Syndrome can all be physical manifestations of stress.
Nail biting or biting the inside of your mouth.
A reduction in your immunity - you seem to be picking up every illness that is going around.
Sexual Disorders - your desire or need for intimacy has dropped recently. Maybe your need for the same closeness has become unusually high. You may want intimacy but for some reason your body cannot perform properly.
Change of eating habits - too much or too little. Maybe you don't fell like eating anything or you may clear the refrigerator every four hours
All treatments are tailored to the individual.
Traditional
counselling often requires you to talk over and relive traumatic events
or experiences that have caused you pain and anxiety. You will get NONE
of that with us. We
use the latest techniques to focus your attention on the solutions you
wish to achieve and to help you change your mindset and lifestyle for
the better.
Therapy
will usually take between six to twelve sessions and will concentrate
on helping you achieve the positive lifestyle which you seek.
Anti Stress Hypnotherapy can be augmented by Auricular Acupuncture if desired.
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Our
professional history has brought us into contact with PTSD at numerous
levels. We understand the condition all too well and recognise the
loneliness that sufferers can experience as a result. The opportunity to
help those experiencing PTSD was one of the driving forces behind us
starting in practice.
Unfortunately
this condition is not limited to those serving in the Armed and
Emergency Services. Any trauma can leave its mark. Flashbacks, extreme
anxiety and dark thoughts can be experienced by anyone who has
experienced trauma, from those who have been abused to those having
experienced car accidents. The list is endless.
We have had
fantastic success in the treatment of PTSD and are please to know that
the lives of many sufferers and their families have improved
considerably as a result of our help.
